Nith River

A mysterious river few people know, the Nith flows thru a little known rural area of South Central Ontario, offering wilderness style paddling close to home. Very diverse, it wanders past meadows & forests with stretches of tranquil water mixed with excitement. Most of the Nith has a relaxed 4 ft./mile elevation drop but it increases to exciting 20 ft/mile drops with awesome rapids. Instead of a rock strewn northern river in the Canadian shield, the Nith is a gravel bottom Southern river. So the rapids caused by elevation drops have few rock hazards & are great fun. Ideal for Instructional Whitewater Trips. only available in Early Spring.

The Nith River is an awesome Adventure for Whitewater Instructional Trips or as a whole Wilderness Style Adventure close to home.  The Nith begins twisting through a forgotten part of Southern Ontario and ends with a rush of fun whitewater as the Nith enters the valley to join the Grand River in Paris.
