This Prospector Style has good maneuverability in rapids, sharp entry lines for easy speed and ends that flare out & float the bow over waves for good stability. This Canoe is the best all-around canoe for lakes, rivers, rapids and wilderness trips whether paddling tandem or solo. It's the perfect canoe for the Grand River, our number one seller and the same canoe we use in our outfitter program. Standard Nylon gunwales and deck plates. Features deluxe ash yoke, ash/nylon webbed seats, ash thwart and carrying handles.

We provide our customers with the best equipment on the Grand. We know boats! As the longest running outfitter in the area, we´ve had a chance to try them all! Our verdict? What the experts already know is true, the 16-foot Prospector style is the best all-round canoe made and that is what we use. Shorter, shallower 15´ rental boats just don´t cut it for river trips. Our model prospector is an ultra-lite, roto-molded polyethylene, canoe, made right here in Canada. This river touring canoe has been tried and tested on the Grand River with great results. Maneuverable and tough, it is a fantastic canoe to paddle. We also offer a 2nd model, the Adirondack, for those with extra stability needs for fishing or small children. Its flat, extra wide hull providing a little more elbow room and extra stability, and it is keeled so that it doesn´t compromise on straight line tracking.
