The wider hull gives this canoe extra stability and plenty of leg room. The Adirondack has a slight keel, to help straight track through the waters. It is made of triple laminate roto-molded polyethylene - one of the toughest materials on the market - and the inner layer is aerated to provide lower boat weight and built-in flotation in the hull. The Prospector was described by canoe guru Bill Mason as being the best all-around canoe for lakes, rivers, rapids & wilderness trips whether paddling tandem or solo. Our Grand Prospector is the perfect canoe for the Grand River, our number 1 seller & the same canoe we use in our outfitter program. Triple laminate roto-molded polyethylene construction makes it one of the toughest canoes on the market yet lighter than many. The inner layer is aerated for lighter weight plus it gives you flotation built-in the hull. Maintenance free Nylon gunwales, handles & d eck plates are accented by deluxe ash yoke, ash/nylon webbed seats & ash thwart. Range of available colours includes Canoe Red, Hunter (dark) Green, Olive g reen, Muskoka Blue, White & Bright Yellow. What the experts already know is true, the 16-foot Prospector style is the best all-round canoe made and that is what we use. Shorter, shallower 15´ rental boats just don´t cut it for river trips. Our Grand Prospector is an ultra-lite, roto-molded polyethylene canoe made right here in Canada. This river touring canoe has been tried & tested on the Grand River with great results. Maneuverable & tough, it is a fantastic canoe to paddle.
