Levels A - D: Grand Experience’s instructors are certified by ORCKA (Ontario Recreational Canoe & Kayak Association) to teach and certify all four levels - A,B,C (tandem) & D (solo). The course teaches craft knowledge & history, safety & rescue, portaging & transporting, loading techniques, and paddling skills for moving a canoe: forward/reverse, laterals, stops, circles and turns. Levels A, B, and C are taught in one full day (approx. 8 hours). D level takes up a day of its own. It starts with a review and test of A, B, and C knowledge before you tackle all of the techniques that allow a person to solo a canoe. This ORCA course starts at 9am on designated weekends at Brant Conservation Area. It includes a hearty lunch both days. For those doing both days and desiring to stay overnight in the vicinity, we can also arrange overnight accommodations Prices: Day 1 (A,B,C) - $125 Day 1 & Day 2 (D) - $249
