Dedicated to those who like to Paddle & Explore with Others

At Grand Experience we've had many requests to start a canoe & kayak club to provide a chance for individuals to paddle with a group to explore different waters.

The idea appeals to us because we have camaraderie with so many people and we see this as a unique way to introduce paddlers to one another.

Since paddling is our business & we have the equipment, trailers, email connections and a store front location on the Grand River to meet at, this is something we can easily do.

We are planning to do a club trip at least once a month to explore different sections of the Grand and Nith Rivers, Big Creek and Long Point Bay plus other water trails. In between trips we will do paddling events such as a Voyageur Canoe paddles, local evening paddles & Full Moon Paddles.

As a member of Paddling Ontario, we have connections with 22 other distinguished outfitters all across Ontario. So we have the ability to assist members in planning canoe/kayak trips anywhere in Ontario.

We plan to do our opening group event, white water rafting on the lower Nith during Spring run off on Sat. March 27.   Then we will explore the Mysterious Upper Nith River from Mudge Hollow (Ayr) to Hobie's Hollow (Canning) on Saturday day April 24th.

Our second event will be on the Upper Grand paddling from Elora to West Montrose on Saturday May 8.

Later in May we will be doing Big Creek, followed by Long Point’s Inner Bay in June.

In July we will paddle to the Six Nations Grand River Pow Wow and in August we will do the Lower Grand between Cayuga and Dunnville.

In Spetember we will do a trip to the Parry Sound Area and in October we will do a Fall Colours Trip on the Grand.

In the winter months we will meet monthly at our shop to do paddle making workshops and plan the next years paddling trips. And I wouldn’t rule out a paddling trip to the south

Annual membership cost for our Grand River Canoe & Kayak Club is $10 and members qualify for discounts on our all of our products & services plus will receive very inexpensive rates on all club trips. We welcome all members and will provide shuttle service for those with their own boats. Anyone who buys a boat from Grand Experiences receives free club membership.
