Our People
Our staff is why we win awards. Our guiding staff is the best in the business, hands down. We hold them to higher standards, with guides that specialize in everything from fishing to Native history and degrees in biology, outdoor adventure and history. They’re all experienced paddlers and ORCKA certified but it doesn’t stop there. Most are professional instructors. Some have guided in places like Algonquin Park and Killarney, but all are here to make sure you’re trip is a safe, fun experience.

Paddle on a Heritage River by canoeing the Grand. Grand Experiences is located where the two rivers meet in Paris Ontario. Grand Experiences is southern Ontario’s largest Grand River canoe company.

We are not Grand Adventures… Grand Adventures closed down several years ago. Two Rivers is also no longer doing rentals but Grand Experiences is just across for Two Rivers in downtown Paris.

The Grand River Conservation Authority or GRCA understands that canoeing the Grand as a Heritage river is a southern Ontario Tourism attraction and support any grand river canoe company with their facilities. They offer Grand River campsites on the Grand River Conservation parks like Brant Conservation Area… and there are Grand River campsites at Byng Island …there are also Grand River campsites at Pinehurst Lake.

This Heritage River of Southern Ontario offers canoeing near Toronto. Close Toronto canoeing is only one hour away. It is hard to beat canoeing the Grand… and being the best Grand River Canoe company is what we are striving to do.

Being a Heritage River canoe company put owness on keeping the river pristine. As a result of the Exceptional Waters Program Grand River fishing is at its best. You can fish the Grand river for steelhead…you can fish the Grand river for Smallmouth bass. This Heritage River has over 80 different species of Fresh water fish in it.

Canoeing the Grand with a moonlight paddle between Paris and Brant Park is one specialty that our Grand River canoeing company offers. The GRCA or Grand River Conservation Authority works closely with our Grand River Canoeing Company and encourages passive development on this Heritage River.

Grand Experiences offers rafting on the Grand River, biking on the Rail Trail near Cambridge, Paris and Brantford, hiking through the Grand River Valley trails, kayaking in southern Ontario on the Nith River, Iroquois Longhouse adventure at Kanata, Six Nations canoe trips, Voyageur canoe trips on this Heritage River starting at the Forks of the Grand where the two rivers meet, we teach on the history of this Heritage River while canoeing on the Grand. Our guides are ORCA certified and we teach ORCA lessons (Ontario Recreational Canoe association). We are a proud Grand River canoeing company that enjoys teaching outdoor education in southern Ontario and offering a large selection of experiences.

We do corporate trips in Voyageur Canoes and our Grand River rafting is for people of all ages. For Grand River hiking and Grand River biking or Rail trail cycling you can stop at Grand Experiences for friendly advice or Rail Trail bike rentals.

The Grand River Conservation Authority or GRCA is the largest watershed system for Southern Ontario Canoeing. It is canoeing Canada at its best. You can paddle from Elora Gorge on the Grand River to Port Maitland for 7 days or week canoe trips in southern Ontario.
