The marsh draws with fascination … to paddle beyond the reeds that hinder our view... to submerse ourselves where we cannot walk… to glide unrestricted. The inner bay of Long Point is protected by the 15 mile land peninsula that stretches out into Lake Erie. This is a paddler’s paradise to explore… a huge marsh coastline… treeless but full of plants… the world of waterfowl, fish and amphibians. An excellent bay to try a kayak in. This package includes kayak instruction, a guided 3 hour paddle along the bay and Tripper lunch. The river kayak is normally used, but it is our hope that with this trip you will get to try a variety of kayaks … single sea kayaks … tandem sea kayaks… to open kayaks. And if you don’t want to glide like a swan… there is still the trusty 16ft prospector canoes available. This trip starts from Long Point Provincial Park. If desired, overnight camping arrangements can be made for you at the park.
