BIG EAST
Skill Level: New Paddler
Package Description:
East Lake, 2 hours north of Toronto, is a very pretty lake
with high cliffs, large exposed outcrops and small rocky
islands. Filled with bass and trout, it is also an
excellent fishing destination. Join us on a 3-day guided
and catered canoe trip for a fun relaxing getaway with
your friends or family.
Day One: We will meet at Grand Experiences in Paris, ON at
8:30 a.m. A waterproof pack will be supplied for your
clothing and bedding. A pickup destination near Toronto
may be arranged for approximately 10:30 a.m. At lunch
time, we arrive at a short portage to Big East Lake. A
light lunch will be served down at the beach where you
will first view this lovely lake. After loading the
canoes, your guides will lead you on a hour long paddle to
a suitable campsite. While camp is being set up and dinner
is prepared, you will have time to explore the islands,
build an inukshook, or go fishing. Be prepared to catch a
nice large small-mouthed bass or splake! Your guide would
be pleased to cook and clean your catch for you. Later
after a delicious meal, relax around the campfire and
spend some time star-gazing on the rocks before bed.
Day Two : Awaken to the sound of loons and song birds,
chipmunks scurrying around camp and the smell of coffee
and breakfast cooking. After breakfast, enjoy a swim in
the clear water, relax in a hammock with your book, or
take a canoe lesson from your guide. After lunch, a day
trip to Black Berry Lake will be available for those who
choose to go. Later, after another delicious meal, enjoy
some time around the campfire or crawl into your tent nice
and early.
Day Three: You will spend your final day relaxing around
camp, exploring the island or fishing. We will break camp
around 2:00 p.m. You can expect to be home before 8:00
p.m.
This is an excellent destination for children and seniors.
A permanent camp will be set up and we will be close to
civilization.* Scavenger hunts and survival games may be
arranged for the children in your group.
Please note that bathroom facilities are limited to a
comfortable seat over a wooden box in the woods. All gear
and meals for this trip will be supplied excluding:
sleeping bag roll, toiletries, clothing, cameras, rain
gear.
Special diets may be arranged with proper notice.
Fishing gear available.

individuals may be accommodated.

Poker Lake
Skill Level: New Paddler
Package Description:
Experience a real canoe trip, complete with portages. Get
away from the hustle and bustle of the city to enjoy
beautiful, tranquil scenery. This trip is for the more
serious paddler. Two hours north of Toronto lie a series
of very scenic lakes with lots of pine trees, high cliffs
and large exposed out crops. Join us on a 4-day guided and
catered canoe trip and explore Bentshoe, Poker, Quirt and
Cinder Lakes.
Day One: We will meet at Grand Experiences in Paris, ON at
8:30 a.m. A waterproof pack will be supplied for your
clothing and bedding. A pickup destination near Toronto
may be arranged for approximately 10:30 a.m. At lunch
time, we arrive at a short portage to Bentshoe Lake. A
light lunch will be served down at the water's edge where
you will view the first lake on our trip. We will canoe
across Bentshoe Lake and take the portage to Poker lake
where a suitable camp site for the night will be selected
by your guides. While camp is being set up and dinner is
prepared, you will have time to explore or go fishing.
Your guide would be pleased to clean and cook your catch
for you. Later, after a delicious meal, relax around the
campfire and spend some time star-gazing on the rocks
before bed.
Day Two: Awaken to the sound of wildlife, the smell of
coffee and breakfast cooking. After breakfast, enjoy a
swim in the clear water and then pack up your belongings
and prepare for an adventurous day traveling to our
destination. After breaking camp and loading the canoes,
your guides will lead you through a series of scenic lakes
and over several short portages to Cinder Lake. A campsite
for the next 2 nights will be selected before dusk.
Another delicious meal has been enjoyed, spend some time
around the campfire before crawling into your tent for a
well deserved sleep.
Day Three: A day-trip of exploring as well as a lesson in
canoeing techniques will be available for those
interested. You may decide to remain in the camp to relax,
swim, sunbathe, or fish. We will spend the third night in
the same campsite.
Day Four: After a hot breakfast, we will break camp fairly
early as we have a few hours of travel over two more short
portages back to Poker Lake and on through to Bentshoe
Lake. You can expect to be home before 8:00p.m.

TEA LAKE
Skill Level: New Paddler
Package Description:
Experience a real northern canoe trip, complete with
portages. Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city
to enjoy beautiful, tranquil scenery. This trip is
designed with the more serious paddler in mind. The
portages are not long, but a fair amount of time will be
spent canoeing to reach our destinations, which will be
well worth every effort. North Tea Lake is approximately
five hours north of Toronto in the North West corner of
Algonquin Park. Join us for this 4-day guided and catered
canoe trip for an experience you and yours will never
forget.
Day One: We will meet at Grand Experiences in Paris, ON at
8:30 a.m. A waterproof pack will be supplied for your
clothing and bedding. A pickup destination near Toronto
may be arranged for approximately 10:30 a.m. We will
enjoyハ a picnic lunch along the trip. We will arrive at
Kawawaymog (Round) Lake early afternoon. After obtaining
our camp permits (included in package price), we will
cross the lake to the access of The Amable Du Fond River.
This is a beautiful, calm little river with lots of
wildlife and only a few short portages. With its many
curves and sharp bends, this is an excellent time to
practice your paddling techniques. Once we reach North Tea
Lake, a suitable campsite will be selected by your guides.
While camp is being set up and dinner is prepared, you
will have time to explore or go fishing. Your guide would
be pleased to clean and cook your catch for you. Later,
after a delicious meal relax around the campfire and spend
some time star-gazing on the rocks before bed.

your bathing suit and towel, secure your belongings and
prepare for an adventurous day paddling to a glorious
serious of waterfalls! Here you will be able to swim or
shower under the cool clear water, take pictures, or hike
to the fishing hole at a neighboring lake. We will return
to our campsite before dusk. Another delicious meal has
been enjoyed, spend some time around the campfire before
crawling into your tent for a well deserved sleep.
Day Three: A day-trip of exploring as well as a lesson in
canoeing techniques will be available for those
interested. You may decide to remain in the camp to relax,
swim, sunbathe, or fish. We will spend the third night in
the same campsite.
