Relaxing 2 days /1 nights for women interested in learning survival skills to de-stress & explore the outdoors.
Learn to relax & rejuvenate the body, mind & spirit through Yoga, canoe adventures & guided meditations.
Accommodations are a fully outfitted camping experience at a serene riverside campsite on the Grand River.
Activities include: guided meditations, guided river trip by canoe /kayak, basic/intermediate paddling techniques, guided trail hikes, plus campfire.
Meals range from riverside lunches to a hearty campfire dinners and breakfast.
Start out with a canoe/kayak lesson and then paddle the Tuscarora Run. This is our exclusive run… the absolute best of the Grand River. Water depths are good for this 5 hour paddle. At the village of Glen Morris paddle your way into the beauty and isolation of the land… long pools and tumbling swifts… towering trees… cascading springs… sycamores and draping black willows. At the halfway point take the well marked 100 yard portage around the old Penman dam.Then paddle along the ancient architect of 1800’s Paris. From there slowly ease into some fast water which rolls into an open scenic paddle around islands and swifts.
Get out at our riverside campsite on the Grand… learn to set camp and do a dinner barbeque. Finish the evening with a relaxing campfire. The next day is a morning of Yoga and exploration… followed by an island barbeque. After lunch… just relax and drift down the Grand .
Price: $225 each plus tax. Includes canoe/kayak & equipment, shuttle ride, guides & instructors, overnight camping adventure, evening barbeque, breakfast & 2 lunches, tents & air mattress.
