FISHING REGULATIONS FOR THE GRAND, NITH & WHITEMAN”S

Ontario Family Fishing Weekend for 2006 is July 7-9… Canadian residents can fish license free for this weekend only… but must follow Conservation License Limits.

Canadians ages 18-64 must have a license.

If a non-resident of Canada you must have a non-resident fishing license.

You must carry your license on you when fishing.

One fishing line per person.

CAMBRIDGE – PARIS   (Grand River Section)

Bass… smallmouth
        … last Sat in June to Nov 30
        … conservation license 2 bass/day,  sports license 6 bass/day

Pike… Jan 1 to March 31, then 2nd Saturday in May to Dec 31
       … conservation license 2 pike/day,  sports license 6 pike/day

From Paris dam to William Street Bridge in Paris…Fish Sanctuary…
no fishing from Oct 1 to Nov 30

PARIS- BRANT CONSERVATION PARK   (Grand River section)

This is a Catch & Release Zone Only…
Begins 100m below the Hwy 2 bridge to the pedestrian bridge at the Brant Conservation Park.
This catch & release zone only allows artificial lures with barbless hooks.
 No fishing allowed from March 1 to the last Friday in April

Trout… steelhead/rainbow and brown
         … last Saturday in April to Sept 30

Bass… smallmouth
        … last Sat in June to Nov 30
        … conservation license 2 bass/day,  sports license 6 bass/day

Pike… 2nd Saturday in May to Dec 31
       … conservation license 2 pike/day,  sports license 6 pike/day
