The inner bay of Long Point is protected by the 15-mile land peninsula that stretches out into Lake Erie. This is a paddler’s paradise: a huge marsh coastline, treeless but full of a myriad of plant and wildlife. It’s an excellent bay for the novice paddler, yet it is also the perfect relaxing explorative excursion for the more experienced. Learn to surf the waves of one of Canada's Great Lakes, read the water, properly handle and maneuver a sea kayak and more advanced maneuvers, and get a taste of some of Ontario's most spectacular natural beauty and wilderness!
This package includes intermediate and advanced sea kayaking instruction for two full days, a guided 3-hour paddle along the bay and an overnight stay at a nearby campsite. This trip starts from Long Point Provincial Park. Experience two very different ecosystems found in Southern Ontario and enjoy the Big Creek run the day before. This package is only offered on selected dates. However, if a group of 6 or more kayaks are interested, customized dates can be arranged.
