Long Point Instructional Sea Kayaking + iPad⎢Big Creek Canoe & Kayak Eco-adventures
Eco adventuring is about appreciation & exploration of nature’s spaces while uniting conservation, communities & sustainable travel. For over 14 years Grand Experiences has remained committed to these principles. As Southern Ontario's leader paddling tour leader Grand Experiences is moving to increase the learning experience of our guests through the eco-adventure PLUS program.
We have 2 Eco-adventure plus paddling Experiences. Sea Kayaking Instructional Tour in the Long Point World Biosphere and a Near Wilderness River Adventure in the Big Creek National Wildlife Area.
Our Long Point Eco-adventure PLUS program is a sea kayaking instructional tour. It combines learning paddling & rescue skills with learning navigation tools & skills such as GPS, maps, compasses, reading water and predicting weather patterns using real time website on an Apple iPad directly in the field. We use our most technical, high-end gear & equipment in a World Biosphere for this eco-adventure PLUS instructional trip to satisfy the adventurer in all of us! The eco-adventure PLUS program is designed to equip our guests with the tools & skills they need to plan & embark on their own paddling eco adventures! Watch Ontario Tourism's video of our instructional sea kayaking.
Our Big Creek Near Wilderness Adventure is an amazing Experience on Canada's Southernmost Wilderness style canoe route. Big Creek winds through a very rural part of South Western Ontario. The deep narrow river winds through lush thick Carolinian Forest and it feels like you are paddling through a rainforest in the deep south. Watch Paddling Ontario's video to understand the experience.
The eco-adventure PLUS program is only available on trips along Ontario’s South Coast, Long Point World Biosphere. Fresh lunches are provided by locally owned restaurants & overnight accommodations are located at Long Point Provincial Park, Deer Creek Conservation Area or a choice of local Bed & Breakfasts.
