| From late March- late April this guided 4-hr trip is Southern Ontario’s best whitewater kayaking and canoeing. Dare this spraying flume ride… race towards the Grand… rush past forested bluffs and towering cliffs… swirl around limestone rockeries at Devil’s Cave… then pour over mini-sets of rapids to the Great Divide. Here the river splits and the fun begins. On the right is a boulder-rushing section where kayaks can test their fleetness … and when you think it is done… there is more to come. Water-slides, standing waves and “back-wash” pools… all condensed into a one-kilometer section. A perfect place to practice what you have learned… a kayak playground!
And it doesn’t end … as you enter the Mighty Grand River… the final descent is the 100-meter dash through the High Level Rapids. As the Grand slows down… so do you… time to get out. |
