White Cedar Trail

Guided Hikes

White Cedar Trail

After the ‘Bloop’, the river slows down and your guide can show you where to pull up you boat on the grassy shore to begin a hike that is truly a worthwhile experience.

The climb is uphill, but the slope is long and gentle, and you’ll be so mesmerized by the untouched beauty around you that you’ll hardly notice the ascent, until you reach the White Cedar Lookout and the breathtaking view appears before you, revealing the river basin that stretches as far as the eye can see.

Along the way you’ll feel as if you’ve entered another world; one ancient and fragrant cedars and softwoods create a unique forest environment with a rich loam and patches of sand underfoot and a high canopy overhead. You are immersed in the beauty of the rare, untouched Carolinian forest.

Also available as a hike only (not as part of a canoe trip) for groups of 6 or more.
