Grand Experiences Advanced Camp is about teaching kids leadership skills while giving them a summer experiences they'll always remember. Operating since the '90's teaching thousands of kids to canoe & kayak, Grand Experiences has won multiple Awards, but our biggest reward has been watching our campers grow into young leaders. A number of our campers have come back to work for us as guides and instructors. They and others have gone on to provide service to their families & communities. It begins with Grand Experiences well trained staff, ORCKA certified instructors modeling leadership while creating a fun environment for kids to learn in.
The Advanced level camp includes full ORCKA Level 1 certification and involves campers in making decisions on carrying out a 3 day, 2 night wilderness canoe camping trip. It is available to kids between the ages of 11-16 years with prior experience.
Campers go on nature hikes to will learn wilderness survival skills, as well as learn about the fauna of the area. They will have more opportunities to kayak than in the beginner's course and will earn a higher level of ORCKA certification at the end of their week.
The first 2 days of camp involve refreshing paddling skills and trip planning exercise plus hikes, swimming, etc. On Wednesday morning the group heads out for a 3 day trip and returns to our summer camp base Friday afternoon.

Cost:
$395 - includes 2 days of day camp + 3 day/2 night trip with all equipment & provisions (except pillow, sleeping)
We offer early drop-offs & later pick-ups if necessary. Please call our office for more information or to book a week of camp.
