Massasauga Park's Spider Lake Canoe Route

Massasauga Mist

Massasauga Provincial Park brings a sense of beauty to the wilderness.  Its untamed ruggedness is easy to fall in love with.  Even the artists of the Group of Seven could not resist the temptation of travelling through the park.  Along with it's numerous islands, Massasauga also has many inland lakes and streams to wander through.  Sightings of martin, fishers, beaver, and river otter are common during canoe trips.  When seated around the campfire, don't forget to look up into the night sky and gaze at the milky way.  While tucked away in your warm sleeping bag, listen for the wolves who will occasionally serenade you off into a blissful slumber.
