The 30,000 Islands by Point au Baril is one of the most popular kayaking area in all the Great Lakes. Aside from the extraordinarily beautiful rocky islands, the area has a rich boating, fishing & lighthouse keeping history, with its fair share of shipwrecks & seafaring stories.  It is a good 2 or 3 day paddle for intermediate to advanced paddlers.

The Mink Chain is rich in history.  Artifacts from an old fishing village can be found in the water around Stalker Island (private).  The east side of Big McCoy is of geological and archeological importance.  Native North Americans reportedly still use sacred sites in the area.

Departure from Grand Experiences, Paris on Friday at 5:00 p.m. (or pickup near Hamilton or Toronto can be arranged).  Arrive at Grand Experiences North depot near Parry Sound for late night meal at approx. 8:30 p.m.  Tents will be set up for your convenience and a campfire will be burning.  Enjoy a Moonlight paddle on the scenic Sequin River from the property to Mountain Basin cliffs and beautiful Mill Lake near Georgian Bay.
