Experience one of our most popular canoe trips… by raft! Starting from our docks on the river in historic Downtown Paris, you’ll travel down river a full 14 kilometres to our 2nd location on the river in scenic Brant Conservation Area. You’ll rafts through and by many points of interest. It is a beautiful introduction to the Grand River Valley; where you can drink from fresh springs, shoot over the famous “Bloop’, visit an 1850 gypsum mine, learn native history, watch Great Blue Herons glide over the water, hike to the White Cedar Trail lookout, experience the coldness of Whiteman’s Creek, see a red tail hawk nest, and even swim. Our rafts are a great way to spend a day with loved ones. This is a perfect trip for those not comfortable in a canoe or kayak. Our 14 ft rafts are totally stable, and easy to paddle. These rafts are excellent for family day adventures. Late afternoon and evening trips available. $24.95 a person includes all gear, pfd's, paddle, 3 hour raft tour, and shuttle service from parking to launch point. There is an additional $5/person Brant Park usage fee. Raft capacity of 8 adults, or 6 adults and 4 children. HOW IT WORKS! Park your vehicle at the Grand Experience boat landing at the Brant Conservation Area, near Brantford. We pick you up at 11 am and take you upstream to Paris, where you begin your paddle at 11:30am. The raft trip takes about 4 hrs to go downstream back to your vehicle. When you get back you can just hop into your vehicle and go home… or enjoy an evening meal and camp overnight with us. WHAT TO BRING Sweater/jacket, hats, camera, sun screen, drinking water, snacks, footwear that can get wet, insect repellant (even though there are few biting bugs while on the river). Denim is not recommended, as if it get wet it takes a long time to dry. HOW TO GET THERE We are located half-way between Toronto and London, just 3 miles off HWY 403. When you book our office will give you driving directions. (1-888-258-0441) RIVER MEALS Tripper Lunches are $10 each plus tax. Includes a large wrap of your choice, dessert and juice. Shore or Island Barbeques are $12 each plus tax. Includes sausage/hamburger/hotdogs, chips, salad, dessert and cold drinks. Overnight accommodations
All rafts, regardless of launch time, must be at the end location no later than 6:00PM, or an additional day rental fee ($50) will be charged to the cardholder. |
